Bonjour! I'm Anne B., a passionate French educator with nearly two decades of experience helping students learn the French language.
I earned my degree in Education from HENAC in Belgium in 2005 and went on to teach French immersion for 17 years across public, charter, and private schools—including classrooms in Egypt, and Louisiana. More recently, I've spent the last four years homeschooling my own son—an experience that has deepened my appreciation for individualized, student-centered learning, and my understanding of dyslexia.
What sets my teaching apart is flexibility: I adapt every lesson to each child's unique interests, learning style, and pace. I create a kind, encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow—with a special focus on building self-confidence.
Whether your child needs conversational practice, homework support, test preparation, or simply a fun and engaging way to explore French, I'm here to help them succeed—one joyful lesson at a time.
I also offer conversation sessions for adults looking to build fluency, brush up on skills, or simply enjoy practicing French in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Testimonials
"Madame Anne is an absolute gem of an educator! She has been tutoring my 11-year-old twin daughters in person, and the impact has been incredible. Madame Anne uniquely tailored our sessions to focus on both conversational French and math improvement in both English and French. Keeping two 11-year-olds engaged in person takes real talent, but she made every lesson interactive, fun, and highly productive.
My daughters'confidence in speaking French skyrocketed, and their math skills have noticeably sharpened. We are so grateful for Madame Anne's patience, versatility, and kindness. Highly, highly recommended!" -N.
"I credit Anne with my child's success in school. My daughter is dyslexic and she is doing so well in her French immersion school. Since working with Anne, she is confident and thriving. Also, Anne keep my child engaged by mixing up the tutoring with games and fun activities." - MK.K.
"Mme Anne has been our daughter's French tutor for two years, and the difference has been remarkable. Our daughter came to Mme Anne struggling with vocabulary and conversation in her French immersion school, feeling frustrated and hesitant. Mme Anne's patient, encouraging and fun approach made all the difference! Now in 4th grade, our daughter is far more comfortable engaging in French conversation and has a sense of pride in what she's learned. We can't recommend her highly enough." -R.T.
